FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Expanding the Cloud Ecosystem

As Community Stack continues to scale its global ecosystem, now spanning 18 communities and over 25,000 members, its cloud strategy is expanding to reflect the realities of a multi-cloud, AI-driven landscape.

The addition of the GCP London User Group marks a significant step in this evolution, extending Community Stack's presence across all major cloud platforms and strengthening its ability to support practitioners operating in increasingly complex environments.

Originally founded to bring together Google Cloud practitioners across architecture, DevOps, data, and machine learning, the group will now be reactivated under Community Stack's stewardship with a renewed focus on:

  • Consistent, high-quality event delivery
  • Practitioner-led, real-world content
  • Integration into a global ecosystem of communities and conferences

Introducing Cloud & Platform Security

Alongside this expansion, Community Stack is launching a dedicated Cloud & Platform Security ecosystem, reflecting the growing importance of security as a core layer of modern infrastructure.

This will be anchored by the Cloud & Platform Security Global Conference, a virtual event bringing together engineers, security practitioners, and leaders responsible for securing cloud-native and distributed systems at scale.

The conference will focus on:

  • Cloud and multi-cloud security architectures
  • Kubernetes and platform security
  • Identity and zero trust models
  • SecOps and detection at scale
  • Emerging challenges in AI and infrastructure security

As with all Community Stack events, the focus remains on real-world implementation, practitioner-led insight, and high-signal discussion.

Expanding the Global AI Conference Portfolio

In response to strong demand across its communities, Community Stack is also expanding its global AI conference portfolio.

Alongside its existing London-based events, the organisation will launch:

  • Azure AI Global Conference (Virtual — September 2026)
  • Cloud Native & Open Source AI Conference — Virtual (October 2026)

These events extend the successful in-person model into a global format, enabling broader participation across regions while maintaining a focus on production-grade AI systems, platform engineering, and real-world implementation.

A Conference Model Built as Infrastructure

Community Stack's conference strategy continues to evolve as part of a broader infrastructure model. Rather than standalone events, these conferences are designed as connected layers within a global ecosystem, bringing together:

  • Practitioners building real systems
  • Leaders shaping strategy
  • Communities operating at scale

Each conference reflects a distinct domain:

  • Multi-cloud practitioner ecosystems across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Security as a foundational layer of modern infrastructure
  • AI as a production system, not an experimental capability

An Accelerated Phase of Growth

This expansion marks a significant step in Community Stack's continued growth across both technical domains and global reach.

"This is a natural evolution of our ecosystem. As the industry moves towards multi-cloud, AI-driven platforms, and increasingly complex systems, our role is to provide the infrastructure that connects practitioners and leaders across those domains."
— Ethan Sumner, Co-Founder & CEO, Community Stack
"Expanding into Google Cloud and security allows us to better reflect how modern systems are actually built and operated. These are not separate conversations — they are interconnected layers of the same infrastructure."
— Mercedes Moxon-Greenfield, Co-Founder & CTO, Community Stack

What's Next

Community Stack will begin reactivating the GCP London User Group in the coming months, with new events planned across London and integration into its wider cloud ecosystem.

The Cloud & Platform Security Global Conference, alongside the expanded AI conference portfolio, will form part of a broader global event strategy spanning AI, cloud, platform engineering, and security.
