FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A Conference Strategy Built for a Scaling Ecosystem

As Community Stack's ecosystem continues to expand across regions, disciplines, and communities — now spanning 17+ communities and over 25,000 members globally — its conference strategy is evolving to match.

Rather than standalone events, these conferences are designed as infrastructure-layer gatherings, connecting:

  • Practitioners building real systems
  • Senior leaders shaping strategy
  • Community builders scaling ecosystems globally

Each conference reflects a distinct layer of the modern engineering landscape:

  • Platform and DevOps transformation in the North of the UK
  • Cloud native and open source AI convergence in London
  • Global, community-led AI collaboration across timezones

A New Model for Community-Led Conferences

Community Stack's conference model is deliberately different. It prioritises real-world implementations over theory, practitioner-led content over vendor-driven agendas, high-trust, high-signal environments, and global connectivity across ecosystems.

The Cloud Native & Open Source AI Conference, hosted in partnership with BrainStation, introduces a new multi-track format, combining technical deep dives, executive leadership forums, and hands-on workshops into a single, curated experience.

Meanwhile, the Northern DevOps & Platform Conference strengthens Community Stack's regional footprint, bringing high-quality platform engineering discourse to Leeds, hosted by CGI.

The AWS AI Community Global Conference extends this model globally, creating a follow-the-sun event connecting AWS communities, builders, and AI practitioners worldwide.

An Exciting Phase of Growth

This expansion marks a pivotal moment for Community Stack as it continues to scale both geographically and structurally.

“This is an exciting moment for us. As our ecosystem grows, our conference footprint needs to evolve alongside it. These aren't just events — they are critical infrastructure for how knowledge, talent, and innovation move across the global engineering community.”
— Ethan Sumner, Co-Founder & CEO, Community Stack
“Bringing together technical practitioners, leaders, and community builders in structured environments is essential to building resilient, long-term ecosystems. These conferences are a natural extension of the infrastructure we are building.”
— Mercedes Moxon-Greenfield, Co-Founder & CTO, Community Stack
